an underdiscussed reason for why ZEC recently is that there were 2 relatively recent upgrades:
i) Zashi wallet finally made privacy usable and shielding the default
even mempool monitoring for instant feedback is a great step up
ii) NEAR intents allowed for all ecosystems to swap in/out v easily
so you can store your money in a private Swiss vault so to speak, and take it out to other chains with 1-2 taps
so reducing onboarding friction and easy flows between chains combined with friendlier crypto admin and a little bit of spark is mostly what happened
when it gets down to it, it's always the builders
I hope this encourages other builders that they can build private by default experiences without compromising on UX
