But what’s actually emerging, is the opposite trend: Deep specialization. - Specialized execution: high-frequency DeFi chains, gaming L2s, AI coprocessors. - Specialized consensus: tuned for latency, throughput, or governance flexibility. - Specialized hardware: GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs — baked directly into protocol economics. - Specialized liquidity and bridge designs: optimized for specific ecosystems. - Specialized middleware: vertical stacks fine-tuned for one class of apps, not generic ones. ----- Infra is evolving to look less like AWS - horizontally modular, and more like Tesla’s supply chain - vertically integrated, laser-focused, built for purpose. And that’s where things get really exciting for us at MultiversX. Because the next phase isn’t about doing everything, it’s about doing one thing better than anyone else.
