Sometimes crypto feels like inventing solutions for problems that don't exist. Why not keep it simple:
-Blockchain and NFT based real estate transactions to cut out the middelman
-A platform to take mortgages on crypto wealth
-A hybrid fiat/crypto bank account
-Passive yield by holding USDT
Fact is - these are mostly examples of useful adoption that would threaten interests of established industries with powerful lobbies. Genius act in the US is a good example. Retail plebs are not meant to benefit. Or Aave could easily operate as a hybrid bank, but legislation is more likely than not the reason they aren't.
Besides that, the startups active in the above examples are mostly fluff with little substance. No broad adoption globally. Even in places like Dubai it's more experimental than anything else.
Eventually things might change, but it's probably going to take much longer than we'd hope for.
