If tapping Check for Updates doesn't trigger an automatic update, the download fails, your phone requires authorization, or the installation fails, you can back up your wallet and reinstall the app.
Note: make sure to back up your wallet before reinstalling. If your wallet data is lost, the assets in your wallet cannot be recovered.
Your device also needs access to Google services to complete the update.
You can send "Download OKX" to download@okx.com to automatically receive a download link. If you're still unable to resolve the issue on your own, tap the customer support button below to get a link, then paste it into your browser to download and update the app.

1. Download Method 1: Homepage Pop-up

When a new version of the OKX App is released, a pop-up update notification will appear on the homepage. Tap Update Now in the pop-up to download and install the latest version. Your device needs access to Google services to complete the update.

2. Download Method 2: Check for Updates

You can also tap the icon in the top-left corner of the App homepage, scroll to the bottom, and go to About OKX > Check for updates. If your app isn't on the latest version, an update prompt and button will appear — tap Update Now to download and install the latest version.
If tapping Update Now doesn't respond, we recommend uninstalling the app and going directly to the official homepage. Tap the download icon in the top-right corner, scan the QR code with your phone's browser, and reinstall the latest version of the app.

3. What should I do if my phone says the app is risky and won't install?

Some Android phones may display warnings such as "security risk" or "virus risk" after downloading the OKX App installation file, preventing the installation from completing. Follow the steps below based on your device type:

(1) Huawei (Android)

Tap Allow to continue the installation without moving it to managed storage, then tap Continue Installing again.

Tap Cancel — don't choose to search for the app in the Huawei AppGallery — then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

(2) Huawei (HarmonyOS)

Exit Pure Mode and disable external source app checks.
From your phone's home screen, go to Settings > System > Pure Mode > Exit.

Go to Settings > Security > More Security Settings and turn off External Source App Checks.

Note: If you can't turn off Pure Mode, open the AppGallery, go to Me > Settings, and check your Country/Region — try switching to a different region. Note that downloading the OKX App from the AppGallery may not be supported in all countries or regions.

(3) Xiaomi

On the installation page, tap the settings icon in the top-right corner, enable Security Guard, then go back and follow the prompts to complete the installation.

(4) OPPO

Open your phone's Settings and go to the built-in Phone Manager > Payment Protection. Turn off protection for all apps. Once you've successfully downloaded and installed the OKX App, you can turn the protection back on.

(5) China Telecom network

If you're on a China Telecom network, enable airplane mode and use Wi-Fi to download and install the OKX App.

(6) Other methods

For other Android phone brands or types, try the following to install the OKX App:

Turn off your mobile data and Bluetooth, then use Quark Browser or your phone's built-in browser to download and install the app. In settings, you can switch the security scanner to 360 or a similar option.
Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Permission Manager > Security & Privacy > App Lock > Trust This App, then log back in — the "risk" prompt should no longer appear.
Once the OKX App installation file is downloaded, turn off all mobile data before running the installation.

Note:

If the app prompts you to update but you can't open it, try the following:

  • Check your network connection: Make sure your connection is stable. Switch to a different network and try again.

  • Update the app: Go to the app store and download the latest version.

  • Clear the cache: Clear the app's cache, then log back in.

  • Check your device settings: Make sure no blocking software is installed or that update restrictions haven't been enabled on your device.
